December 4th

The Christmas season is always interesting when it comes to planning worship.

It begins with the always-hard-to-figure-out dilemma of what fits at the end of November / beginning of December. I mean, you can’t just come out and belt “O Holy Night” right away! People aren’t that into the Christmas spirit yet.

This year, however, I’ve been singing Christmas music since July because of our Church Outside the Box piece that we’ve just released. I feel like I have a pretty good bank of solid Christmas song arrangements that we can incorporate nicely into our Sunday morning worship sets.

November Worship

Hey guys.

Hallelujah! What a Savior

Music always moves me.

I love it when music ruins me.
For example, this Hymn.

Hallelujah! What a Savior

Man of sorrows, what a name
For the Son of God who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim
Hallelujah! What a Savior

Bearing shame and scoffing rude
In my place condemned He stood
He sealed my pardon with His blood
Hallelujah! What a Savior

Guilty, vile and helpless me
Spotless Lamb of God was He
Full atonement can it be
Hallelujah! What a Savior

Lifted up was He to die
“It is finished,” was His cry
Now in heaven exalted high
Hallelujah! What a Savior

When He comes, our Glorious King
All His ransomed home to bring
Then anew this song we’ll sing
Hallelujah! What a Savior
