April Worship (minus Easter)
You’ll find the worship sets from the month of April below. Easter Sunday will have it’s own post here in the next few days. I’ve also linked all songs mentioned again (this time to Amazon).
When I grow up I think I'll be a musician, a worship pastor, and still have time for everything else.
Yeah, that sounds good.Oh I forgot Follow @traecastles

And here we go, getting the month of March set lists out there.
I was out for 2 weeks but had some great people lead.
Here you go:
I’ve kind of procrastinated in putting these set lists up. For no other reason than sorting through them and remembering what we did. See this mess?

The beauty of two weeks at the same event is that you can refine the set lists for the next week. Not that the first week wasn’t good - it just gives you an opportunity to make the next week even better. And I think you’ll notice by some of the changes, the worship sets did get better. My favorite addition was “Your Love is Strong” by Jon Foreman. If you haven’t listened to his Seasons EPs, then you’re missing a lot of great song writing. Here’s a link to his “best-of” from that collection. (click.here)
So, I’ve listed out both weeks…some nights are the same, some are different. For the nights that differ, I’ve put an asterisk next to it. Also, I’ve linked to the recordings with similar styles that we pulled off.
The set lists (spoiler alert -> we played a lot of music):
I started this blog on the first Thursday evening of BeachReach, in between worship sets (while listening to Mark teach…!) and then finished it a few weeks later… :)
Some Sunday’s I go into the morning with an unsettled mind.
Either distracted or worried about the set, or just letting my mind wander to other things.
Like leaving for Panama City Beach for 2.5 weeks that week and making sure all my bases are covered and coming off of a great but busy weekend and being so busy that I’m missing my family and knowing that I’ve got a ton to do before I leave on Thursday like get my oil changed and cut my hair and fix my pedalboard and how I hope this whole no-bassist thing works out (which it did. and pleasantly i might add). You know, regular life.
So I come into Sunday morning with tons on my mind. Prepared, but not all there.
A lot of times, these Sunday’s are the best…because it is so obviously God working through my fuzziness. It was a cool time of renewal for me, and hope and trust that it was for the church that Sunday as well.
Our set list was:
(I’m in the truck, on my laptop, on the internet via my tethered, jailbroken iPhone, in the middle of nowhere ((Alabama?)), so I’m not linking the songs this week…because, well…because.)
Quick post this week. Headed to Florida next week for Beach Reach. Super pumped…but a little nervous as Mark Seher (bassist extrodinare) got an incredible job and is still unsure of being able to go.
So- do you play bass?
If so, can you come with us from March 3rd - March 19th?
Surely that’s not too much to axe.
Yes.
I said axe.
We celebrated Parent dedication (Connect-style baby dedication) this weekend during the service, so we shortened the set a bit to have enough time to celebrate together.
Our set list from last week was:
